Rivoli Cinema Hostel welcomes all backpackers, travelers, and guests who search for the unique experience of staying at the first cinema hostel in Portugal, right in the heart of Porto.

The Hostel is set in a 1930s Art Deco-style building, full of character. Designed by Eng. Francisco Xavier Esteves, the same architect of the unique "Harry Potter" Lello Bookshop (considered the third most beautiful in the world), the property became his family home. Although it preserves the charm of most original elements, it was carefully renovated to provide you with high standards of comfortable accommodation with updated infrastructure.

 

The whole Hostel is Movie Themed and all the common areas and rooms were carefully decorated to make you feel at home while enjoying your time with your newest big family. Our common areas include a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a large lounge where you can relax, have a drink, read, play games, watch satellite TV or enjoy one of our 300+ DVDs.

 

If you prefer to be outside, we have an outstanding 150m² terrace where you can sunbathe, BBQ, listen to music, party or just socialize with the other guests, including a seasonal Bar and relaxing Pool (from May to October).

 

Our renovated facilities, 24hr reception availability, and friendly multilingual staff create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We have free Wi-Fi, computers with internet access, free maps, travel advice, free walking tours, free luggage storage, free continental buffet breakfast, and all-day coffee and tea just waiting for you!

The Hostel has 14 rooms, each one decorated and inspired by different movies and directors. Live your favorite movie-staying experience, staying at a mixed or female dormitory bed, in a single, double, twin, or triple private room, with shared bathrooms. Our exclusive custom-made bunk beds and lockers offer you the best hostel experience at our 4-bed Dorms, with individual international plugs, reading light, privacy curtains, and hangers inside the locker.

 

Having a 42-bed maximum capacity, it has 8 shared toilets and 8 shared showers, and a kitchen where the breakfast buffet is served and you can cook your meals.

You will find us at Rua Doutor Magalhães Lemos, number 83, at the historical center of Porto, right next to the most iconic city square – Avenida dos Aliados – where you can appreciate the beautiful architecture, walk through the typical streets and visit the museums and monuments. Nearby, there are restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, shops, shopping centers, and touristic information spots. Our reception is always happy to talk with you and help you out!

 

Tram, metro, bus, train, and taxis are just outside the door, so it’s easy to visit all the important museums and monuments of the city. Also, if you want to party and enjoy the nightlife here, you just have to choose between nightclubs, bars, and cafes.
